Most def, about as disingenuous as when he when he does it with Jamar. Only difference is it generates a hell of a lot more traffic.

Nah. He's never asked Lord Jamar's top 5/10 in my experience. if he did, LJ gave his top 4 and Vlad said "what about Nas", and that to almost every single interviewee after that, then I would see your concern.

and Jamar is reactionary. He's there to comment on stuff that's already happened. While the other rappers are there to talk about themselves. It's a big difference.

You know damn well that Em is shoehorned into most top 5 convos by the interviewers. let's keep it real.

1. Rakim is a top 5 candidate and an architect of modern day emccing but his run didn't last as long as it should have due to the the shift the game made in the early 90's. He was already being talked about as being "old school" by nikkas that should have been his peers. He was more or less "past his prime" or at the end of it as Brand Nubian was getting on.

2. PR is PR. Not that I don't believe that Lord Jamar doesn't believe what he's saying...I mean an integral part of his religious philosophy is the belief that the white man is the devil and were created in a lab by a scientist with an abnormally large head.

But if we are talking about who's more "established" between the two, LJ is definitely more socially relevant right now, even more so than Ra on aftermath. More so than at any point in his own solo career while we're at it...and not because of his music or revere... but because of his rants.

You're reaching. Lord Jamar will never be more relevant than Rakim, rant or no rant. :what:

For one, the first time I heard Jamar speak on em it him saying how he's not in any black persons top 20. And I wasn't even really speaking specifically about top anything lists, he "shoehorns" him into a lot of LJ videos because he knows there will be a controversial tangent shortly after.

:comeon:

Don't confuse relevance with reverence. He is CERTAINLY more visible and socially relevant right now than Rakim has been for a long time.

Was he ever relevant? Never heard a hint of Jamar. Looks like a B-List rapper to me, though I won't judge a book by it's cover. I'll go bump an album or some later.
Might be because he was before my time.

Why does everyone on this forum shyt on Eminem?:mindblown:

Sales - Eminem
x amount of times Platinum - Eminem.

If sales is what makes an artist good then the Beatles is the band of all time. Sales =/= skill. Also the Game and Wiz aren't even close to the top 50 rappers of all time so their opinions dont hold much weight, if it was someone like KRS then that would be a different story.

Eminem is a terrible artist. He uses the same double-time flow in nearly all of his songs, has an awful ear for beats, has produced horrible albums and has had the biggest falloff in hip hop history. So yeah he may be great lyrically but that's only the half of what makes an artist.

Not to mention many of his songs are either angsty teenage shyt or believe in yourself 'the little engine that could' shyt.

I fukk wit lord jamar, i might not agree with him most of the time. But he a cool nikka, who stays true to himself. Kinda down to earth dude, be saying some funny shyt.

theres a reason he on that vlad couch, he entertaining.

i only really fukk wit mmlp em, and the shyt he did on 2001 with dre. That dont mean i dobt respect and acknowledge his talent. Hes dope and he could go in. But thats not all there is to it.

Em is nice. But who would u rather bump. Smoke, vibe, ride, get head and drink to. Eminem "hi my name is" "cleanin out my closet" "feels so empty without me na na na na na" "fack", "ass like dat, boing, boing, boing"

or some hot shyt like this by nikka 2chainz, keep it real.

cmon man, dont give me that technical lyrical bullshyt. U gotta be out ya damn mind to ride around smokin to eminem hi my name is, u might as well wear a fukkin helmet lol.

in no way am i championing 2 chainz over eminem even i gotta :smh:

but some shyt like this i could throw on any time

or would i rather hear

nobody as talented as eminem technically isn't without their solid to great songs, but I think most agree he's often been a waste of the ability he practiced so intensely and nowhere near goat status.

it's 2015 and muthafukkas is really still talkin' bout eminem like he puttin' out records that are great or even good for that matter :russ:

obviously eminem's legacy is cemented and all that but hip hop has passed him by (and yes, he still sells because he's white and his loyal white fan base is gone always be there but his music ain't been shyt in a loooong ass time, 10 plus years long ass time)

muthafukkas talkin' bout eminem like it's fukkin' 2000 or some shyt :dahell::heh:
