This is dumb as hell. Usher and Chris Brown are better. Usher is the GOAT of our generation imo.

Chris Brown's voice hasnt broken yet and he's an old man:usure:

The likes of Chris Brown with their whiny voices appear to be good singers because their voices are so thin is decieves the listener.

Tyrese despite being annoying, is a great singer with a strong male voice. We dont have those Charlie Wilson, Aaron Hall, Levert type singers anymore. Everything is just effiminate:hhh:

So you just gon ignore Usher then? OK So CB is out. I would take Joe over Tyrese.

I judge them all based on how great they were in their prime

I would go
Usher-confessions
Ginuwine- The bachelor
Jamie foxx- unpredictable (classic)
Bruno mars- 24k
Maxwell- hang suite
R.kelly-chocolate factory
Brian Mcknight- second album

Tyrese just doesn't have a album that belongs with those.

I ignored him for obvious reasons..he's an accomplished performer and a very good singer with an adult voice.
Joe Thomas a good singer yes, Id put him on par with Tyrese.

He gets airplay and such because he's still visible as a tv and film star. Those unseen acts you mentioned are probably making music that's better than his but they aren't attached to one of the biggest film franchises ever. They are doing traveling gospel plays on the chitlin circuit. Doesn't make his music better than theirs.

Bilal shytS on Tyrese.

Facts!

I hate how people constantly make threads online about R&B, while not being very knowledgeable about R&B. Bilal, Musiq, and D'Angelo have been scarcely mentioned in this thread. All three of which take a giant dooky on Tyrese. In terms of quality music (not radio play), I would add Phonte, Frank Ocean, Thundercat, and Eric Roberson to that list.

Also, the obvious mainstream choices of Usher, CB, Ne-Yo, Sisqo, Joe, Donell Jones, John Legend, etc., are all above Tyrese on the R&B totem pole when it comes to hit records.

Once again, I like Tyrese. However, he is not top 10 in the past 20 years when it comes to music quality or hit records. OP is reaching hard.

Op if you had made this thread a month ago.... you would have gotten hundreds of daps and even rep

But it's hard to look at this cat the same now

You really tryna chop it up with your lady and you gon put on some Tyrese?

NOW? :usure: I don't think so

The mood would change so quick you'll wonder if you share that girl

Tyrese destroyed his own legacy within a few days. Never be able to watch Fast Furious or Transformers or Waist deep without thinking of how much a clown dude is
