Lovie turned down a 2 year EXTENSION when the bears were 7-1 I love Lovie (nh) but cant feel sorry for him.Had he took the extension he would been coach thru 2015.

He was held out of a game because of a concussion this year. Broke the thumb on his throwing hand last year and missed the last 6 games. The years before that played 15, 16 and 16 games.

And it was time for Lovie to go.

1 playoff berth in the last 6 years. 3 his 9 years here.

Some of the worst offenses in the league save for 1 or 2 years where they were average. He's the one that picks the OC and he's had 4.

Last 2 years we've had complete meltdowns after fast starts. His time management and adjustments when down after the half were shytty.

And what would getting rid of Cutler do? Is there someone better out there? Would we get a guy that would make time behind the shytty o-line? Make Hester and Kellen Davis capable receivers?

People here don't really know. Lovie was good, but he coaches too conservative. He still believes in retooling the defense going into this year, knowing our offensive line is super trash. The team is aging, the offense needs work & Lovie isn't bout that life for the offense.

I know he came off of a strong year and the team has been great under his watch but it's one of those things where he had to go.

I wish him the best with his next team. He is a great coach but the team needs something else.

I wish he got one more year under the current gm personally.

If Tony Romo was the QB of the bears they would have won the division. The Bears don't even run a pass heavy offense. Cutler needs to get rid of flab and put on some muscle

Ben miss a bunch of gmes every year tho, dude to suspension and being hurt the last 2 years, and Eli and Rodgers are protection much more than cutler and Ben

It was funny seeing all of the Bears fans rooting for the Packers on Twitter/FB and after the Packers lost it was even better seeing all of them cry about how we kept them from the playoffs without even playing them.

To everyone saying race. this isn't it. The offense has been offensive. That offensive live has been a travesty for going on half a decade now. Lovie brought in offensive people and they were not getting the job done. There just needed to be a change.
