Ludacris' music has aged terribly and it's high time we acknowledge it

yall getting mad about the "aged horribly" thing need to realize it's a legit argument (at times). cats rag on nas's beat selection, but his music is mostly timeless to me because the bulk of it never played into fads and hot producers, there's a lot of music from around 1997-04 that relied too heavily on the same sounds and producers and just doesn't warrant much replay outside of classic tracks. all this hi hat trap shyt is going to be the same way looking at it in 2028
god damn, we're closer to 2028 than 2016 when i made this post :lupe:

Never been a fan really- but you nailed it, Ludacris is a character potrayed by Cris Bridges- not a rapper, and while plenty of rappers have been characters none to the extent of Ludacris, there’s always some sort of real life basis for them to pull off their lies from, even Ross had time around criminals as a CO to steal stories from.

There’s nothing real about Ludacris, all his raps and escapades are 100% fictional and meant to be seen that way, he could have easily been a tv show or cartoon like OP joked about. Honestly it makes his easy transition into acting logical, i don’t hate his music but i don’t care for it either, he had the look, the swagger, the delivery and vocabulary but never the substance.

This was a good write up, ill never understand how he won that Grammy and can only chalk it up to the satanic powers that be- now i should probably check myself to a hospital as listening to that many Ludacris songs in a row can’t be good for your mental health

If we being for real

He was corny from day 1

Even when he had songs that were catchy, they were always corny

I always thought the way he would add an emphasis on his accent on every last word at the end of his rhyme always sounded so corny
Breh, I can't stand hearin' that shít:russ:
