He was hurt last year. :yeshrug:
Yeah that was the point I was getting at. It was in response to dude saying that Durant coming in opened things up for him instead of Steph actually being healthy this year. Anybody with an unbiased perspective could tell dude wasn't all the way right last year.

I don't think it was an adjustment as much as now being able to. He couldn't shake Adams, Ibaka, TT, or Love one on one last year, it was obvious he wasn't right.

so you think it was the injuries?

Anybody who can still score 30 & 10 getting trapped is real deal in my book. Best PG in the game. :salute:

Steph still has to accept responsibility for the silly turnovers and missed shots, but not being able to shake any bigs on the perimeter 1 on 1 was absolutely the injury.

Dude redeemed himself the only way he could, killed it the entire playoffs :wow:

Was trapping Curry and allowing a 7'0 foot KD to be open or one on one the best defensive strategy to use against Golden State?

If so what does this say about Curry's importance that he was the main player for the Cavs defensive gameplan despite having KD.

Thats what i been trying to say curry is the best player in the leauge he seen the most defensive attention with that being said durant is still better then lebron

He's right about Curry whether or not I agree with his game plan. It's Curry's unique offensive abilities that make that offense work and run the way it does. Durant is the better player, but the offense flows around and starts with Steph.

Curry proved he was the better player last year

2015-16 Steph Curry was better
2016-17 Kevin Durant was better
:yeshrug:

Idk man the first half of the season curry fell back and was on cruise control but the second half curry turnted it up and was the best player the majority of the playoffs besides the finals and still almost averaged a triple double

so how do you feel the series would have went if the Cavs made the decision to trap KD and let Curry be open or go one on one?

Better outcome for the Cavs? I kinda feel they would have faired better focusing attention on KD.

Curry would of been finals mvp if they did that and they probably would of got swept

The Truth
He came two assists and a rebound short of averaging a triple double his DAMN self.

I'd say their strategy failed on multiple levels.

Also, this should effectively shut up all those Curry detractors from LAST postseason. When they said he was hurt people said it was an excuse....turns out he probably was hurt and not 100%, cause we saw his redemption tour this time around. How you average more rebounds than Cleveland's bigs? :mjlol:
Yeah if it wasn't for Game 4 bullshyt Curry possibly could've averaged a triple double and there possibly wouldve been a Co-MVP

But they were trying their hardest to get Curry and letting KD got 1v1 against Lebron or Thompson

Draymond said in his press conference Warriors didn't seem unbeatable until Steph starting looking for his own shots again earlier in the season and not compromise his offense.

Dude is integral to the offense and what makes them such a mismatch vs every other team.

It's not just the shooting either. You see how many easy layups he got because he broke down multiple defenders? If you got to double KD, you'd have Steph 1v1 vs anybody and it's game over. Either going to be an easy basket or assist.

You can't double KD and you can't double Steph, but you can't cover either of them 1v1 either.

That's what so special about this team, you choose the way you want them to beat you, and they'll beat you. It really is nearly impossible to take away what they do best by sending 2 defenders on any one player because they all can pass, nor trying to cover them one on one because they all can get free. At minimum you'd need at least 4 great defenders on the floor at once who are terrific at making rotations. Depending on their lineup, you'd sometimes need 5 great defenders on the floor at once. But then how many great defenders are out there that'd be able to score on GS's great defense as well?

Just as an aside, I hope everyone realizes that Lebron hasn't faced double teams since 2012 at all. You can't double this Cavs team either, so it's not like that alone is what makes Warriors special. In fact that's what all Lebron teams have had in common, he's made it hard for the other team to just focus in on him(hence all the shooters).

Their defense and versatility at every facet of the game, not just scoring, is what makes them special.

Durant dikk riding is just cause the media for the storylines. Curry was almost as good and faced much tougher defense and had much more responsibility.

Durant knocked down the open shots in the rhythm of the offense like he's supposed to. He did hit some BIG shots:hubie: But Curry was creating for the entire team and also knocking down some crucial shots as well.

Not to mention Curry was pretty much responsible for IGGYs big game.

Curry still had some stupid turnovers though. :manny:
