he's the tom brady of that squad.

A specialist who may not have the all around skill set of his peers (still competent in other aspects of the game tho)....But excels more than anyone at ONE THING that makes the whole offense click.

These casuals wouldn't understand. This is what people like @Gil Scott-Heroin when they talk about Steph's gravity.

Durant dikk riding is just cause the media for the storylines. Curry was almost as good and faced much tougher defense and had much more responsibility.

Durant knocked down the open shots in the rhythm of the offense like he's supposed to. He did hit some BIG shots:hubie: But Curry was creating for the entire team and also knocking down some crucial shots as well.

Not to mention Curry was pretty much responsible for IGGYs big game.

Curry still had some stupid turnovers though. :manny:
I think your last point is very important. Curry was sloppy as fukk a lot of times with the ball,(just as he was last year), KD is the reason a couple of those games were saved. Otherwise, Cavs would have won this shyt.

Of course he is.

Take him off the team and they dont get to 3 straight Finals, even this year with KD

Was trapping Curry and allowing a 7'0 foot KD to be open or one on one the best defensive strategy to use against Golden State?

If so what does this say about Curry's importance that he was the main player for the Cavs defensive gameplan despite having KD.

I don't think any strategy--trapping Curry or Durant--would have changed the result. Both or either would still get open looks and get points. KD's influence is undeniable and incorrigible. He creates openings because teams have to account for him on every play. He had a high usage rate.

so you really believe this to be the lesser of two evils? Curry isn't a mismatch with whoever is guarding him, Durant is.
This sounds like Curry is the more dangerous player of the two if you believe you would be 'fighting to stay afloat' by letting Curry go one on one as compared to Durant.

Not necessarily a case of Curry being a greater threat. It's more like pick your poison. If you can only double either Steph or KD, I will double Steph everytime.

Not because he's better than KD...he isn't. I would do it from the simple point of view that the chances of him passing badly or turning the ball over out of the double team is higher than KD. At KD's height he is seeing over most double teams and can pass out of them.

When you put these two lines into perspective:

More defensive attention/coverage than any player in the modern era
Chucker mentality who takes the most difficult shots in history, yet still is more efficient than any jump shooter ever

It doesn't make any basketball sense whatsoever, it goes against every law you're taught to believe about the game, so all you can really do is shake your head in disbelief.

:ehh: that makes sense my only problem with it is that it doesn't work. They won 4-1

Trapping KD who also turns the ball over a ton may would have worked out better for the Cavs
