He's right, it is easier to score.

Imagine if you took NBA talent, made them play defense at 100% effort with Euro rules on a smaller Euro court.....it would look like 2004 Pistons basketball. The NBA makes things easier for the offense because the athletic ability of NBA players would be too much for scorers to overcome. Even dudes like Steph would have to play like 2001 Iverson (volume shooting).

I think they've gone too far on the offense, but for Luka it probably does feel easier. Analogy: would you rather fight prime Floyd Mayweather, but he can only hit you in the body or fight prime Mike Tyson but both his hands are tied behind his back? Obviously Tyson is harder to fight if there are no handicaps, but if he's handicapped enough, then his ability to beat you won't show as much.

FG% is 46% right now.

FG% was 46% in 2017.

FG% was 46% in 2007.

FG% was 46% in 1997.

FG% was 48% in 1987 (the actual soft era).

It's dumb as hell to call the league "watered down" when there hasn't been an expansion team added in 20 years and more global talent is recruited to the NBA than ever before. The actual watered-down era was 1990-2002, when 7 expansion teams were added in rapid fashion and global recruiting wasn't at its peak yet. Take a bunch of guys who can't shoot and add in the hand-check/zone defense overlap and you get some of the ugliest games of all time. But when teams realized that the key to breaking zones was better shooting, the combination of more focus on shooting and better recruitment of global talent has created a much more wide-open, skilled game.

Place these same skill sets back in 1990s and they will destroy those players. Watch MJ's six-three half - he wasn't even being guarded on threes. Can you imagine what any star off-guard would do today if opposing players weren't even trying to guard him on open threes in Finals games?

COMPLETELY DISREGARD HANDCHECKING BEING ALLOWED, PERMISSION TO EXERT 10X THE LEVEL OF PHYSICALITY, AND NO ZONE DEFENSE BRODIES

Ya'll gotta stop calling these Eastern Europeans unathletic. For one, its nikkas sitting on their couches with tires around they stomach saying it, and two...these Euro cacs are not your Chads and Brads you see over here lol

I knew yall would be hurt the slow unathletic euro would come in as a 19 year old and bust down the league.

I'm hurt too because I thought he would get his soul snatched in the league but damn.

Not like this.

Let's be honest, if his name was Lamar Donald the goal post would not constantly be getting moved. First it was "this cac is too slow to play in this league" then it was "wait till they get tape on him" now 53 games in and he's still balling it's "bet he can't do it in the playoffs" :russ:

Dude is averaging 20-7-5 as a 19 yr old, just call a ♠️ a ♠️ And give dude his props. It'll be easier on your health if you keep being  as he balls out your BP gonna go up. He's not gonna slow down :yeshrug:

the problem is you thought he was slow and unathletic. How many Gasols and Rubios and Petrovics and Nowitzkis and Jokics do you need to see to break out of that thinking?

I want to see this nikka say this in the playoffs:stopitslime:

but surely this means his comments (even though he didnt mean it in the way you mean) makes sense

if only 14 games are hard but the other 80+ games are easy then he is pretty much telling the truth with the comments :leostare:
