That bullshyt ass "be the bigger person/turn the other cheek" shyt had yet to work. Why should black people have to take the brunt of brutality, mistreatment and injustice and them simply accept it and walk away. You are talkin that "docile slave talk" :camby fukk outta here
That is where you misunderstand the meaning I am trying to get across. To answer your question I am African American, And I love who I am and my people, I want you to understand that violence/hatred against whites is a battle we can't win they have the government support of judges and leaders. How can I say I love my people but set them up for failure? I had not forgotten nor have I forgiven what they have done my people or what they have done to the Native Americans.
What I did was come to a understand, that to better my people is for me to educate myself and reach the goals I want to reach, Obama is progress it showed even if he wasn't 100% African that a white america had to accept that shyt and accept him as a leader, something 50 years ago would be thought of as a passage out a fictional novel.
Every time a brother walks across stage is a success for our people, most nikkas to hard headed to see that these cacs would rather catch a ass whippin then see us do something they can't do. Mlk dream was planted and I honestly believe if he was alive today he would be happy at the progress and also sadden by some of the misfortune our people still endure. You asking me to turn the cheek no im not turning the cheek I seek my people obtain the knowledge we need as a whole, so when the days come where we need to fight, its done not physical but in the courts, jobs, schools, hospitals, where by that time my vision is we will then have the numbers needed to really change the future.
