Not only am I not wrong.
I 100% know where Lupe bit that style from.
This sort of "Free association" style of writing is straight from that early aughts underground Hip-Hop.
Whether you think it's trash or not is whatever, it's blatantly obvious what was the source material.
Again, y'all gotta start listening to more Hip-Hop and read the interviews of the rappers y'all like/stan.
He stays on that "progressive" tip and Aesop Rock is like the poster boy for CACs who listen to entirely
too much Prog Rock and have Rockist opinions about Hip-Hop and how it should approach in order to be "respected".
The same opinions unironically echoed in this thread. I might add.
@Art Barr has mentioned that racism that was prevalent on those old Hip-Hop Infinity message boards
and dubious underpinnings of beliefs that fueled certain sects of "progressive" Hip-Hop.
Lupe liking Aesop Rock is on brand like Kid Cudi dikk riding Cage.
That dude liking Aesop Rock so much is such a fukkin mystery to me. That dude is dirt. Like son is horrible.
