he's not saying you need to be big l to be considered a lyricist. he's saying you need to have metaphors cross reference and punchlines put into a package to be a good lyricist. he literally described nas lmao.
It's not about Nas at all. I just think he's wrong. Lolhe's not saying you need to be big l to be considered a lyricist. he's saying you need to have metaphors cross reference and punchlines put into a package to be a good lyricist. he literally described nas lmao.
If you take Stephen King's IT, probably his best book...this shyt literally has 200 pages of pure description, that you feel like don't do much for the story but it actually helps you visualize the whole shyt.
When it dropped, everybody was hating on it but 30 years later everybody understand how genius it was.
That couldn’t be further from the truth
As a matter of fact, pre Atlantic Lupe was probably one of the best punchline rappers ever
In 2002-2005 he was doing drawn out word play schemes through verses way before it was even big in battle rap
Man shut the fukk up lol yall just pulling stuff out of your ass now
Eminem hasn’t made anything close to these in 20 years
And what’s crazy in every Lupe album he’s released recently there’s more storytelling with layers than him flexing his skill
No problem
Hey I'm home now....what was the deal again?
nikkas
maaaan I worked out then went and played pool and smoked an L remind me![]()
I'm just fukking with you...I just asked you to tell me where the metaphors and punchlines were in Dre's "Return of the G" verse bruh
Lupe is null and void based off this.
I was bumping this album working out earlier today.
this is story telling with elite lyrics.
this shyt makes sense. this is how its done.
nikka is such blow hard.
