The whole situation is just sad....... In the internet era age, Keef can leak his music and videos and the kids that were already on this ish in chicago flocked to it, embraced it....... You cant blame the actual rapper (wont call him artist) for this, nor blame record executives...... The blame here goes to the enviorment that was created by greedy, insensitive politicans in the 1970s that set up these scenes and some cities have just never got up the will to do something about it (their city government, not the people).
This aint a music problem, its a government problem to correct Chicago, these KIDS are 11-17, they dont know any better, especially with nobody around to teach them except their own peers.
I will say, it is very scary, and I agree with with Lupe for the most part. Only thing to correct this boards perception of what Lupe was saying, is it is not Chief Keef or GBE's fault, because frankly, how they were raised and in that enviorment, you cant expect most kids to be able to dodge that attitude
