Lasers was weak on all fronts.
Whether it was beats or lyrics.
the mixtape he dropped in response to the old MTV top 10 list was a fukking classic
![]()
he's getting back into his mixtape mode if you ask me, im fully expecting a sequel to this to shyt on the game![]()
I mean come on, I mean look at what I'm dropping here
Do this for the block and the blogosphere
No, you ain't ready for the heavy, so I'll keep it light as jogging gear
I don't want the throne, I want the helicopter rocking chair
Jay gave me a co-sign like I was RocaWear, but be clear I'm not the heir
I'm the water, fire and the earth
That means I'm doing dirt, spitting flames and quenching thirst
And plus the real God has been on my side since birth
I hope that he forgives me, I hope I do his work in every single verse
Now I might do a dance, I might even jerk, tell them nikkas don't hate
Only God is great, Enemy Of The State
Look I'm not about to play this game with a known lupe stan.No.
Lasers was not lyrically weak. It was probably the only thing about that huge disappointment of an album that wasn't weak. The lyrics and the content of the lyrics. The lyrics were toned down and more straight forward by HIS standards, but that album would be most rapper's lyrical peak. I also feel "Letting Go" and "All Black Everything" are two of the best songs he's ever done.

The same dude who fought tooth and nail to get everyone
to see the brilliance in Lasers.
I listened to that shyt front to back.
IT WAS WEAK LYRICALLY
One in the air for the people ain’t here
Two in the air for the father that’s there
Three in the air for the kids in the ghetto
Four for the kids that don’t wanna be there
None for the nikkas tryna hold them back
Five in the air for the teachers not scared
To tell those kids that’s living in the ghetto
Tell the nikkas holding back, that the world is theirs
Yeah, yeah, the world is yours, I was once that little boy
Terrified of the world, now I’m on a world tour
I would give up everything, even start a world war
For these ghetto girls and boys I’m rapping round the world for
Africa to New York, Haiti, then I detour
Oakland out to Auckland, Gaza Strip to Detroit
Say hip-hop only destroy, tell ‘em look at me, boy
I hope your son don’t have a gun and never be a d-boy
I think that all the silence is worse than all the violence
Fear is such a weak emotion, that's why I despise it
We're scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth
So scared of what you think of me, I'm scared of even telling you
Sometimes I'm like the only person I feel safe to tell it to
I'm locked inside a cell in me, I know that there's a jail in you
Consider this your bailing out, so take a breath, inhale a few
My screams is finally getting free, my thoughts is finally yelling through
U dont think this track was good music?..this is some of the best shyt I heard from him in a minute...
its not that difficult b... you may have to think a lil bit... thats what makes it good. Why do you want other nikkaz to spoon feed you?translate it
