NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
Yeah , it’s simply due to the fact that beauty products are one of the first expenses dropped when funds get low. Rihana ain’t dropped in over a decade and her fame level is still at an all time high, just check out her IG. Her not dropping music has nothing to do with it.

Not necessarily.

I've invested across a number of beauty products (part of my work) and we generally consider the sector to be non-cyclical. People will sacrifice a ton of things in their life, but people are generally vain and will not compromise on their looks. :manny:

However, as someone already mentioned, Fenty's problem is its target audience is firmly middle class. And that consumer will certainly trade down during periods of tightness.

Said differently, a Fenty customer has no problem picking up that generic concealer. And this is simply not the case for the Chanel or Dior customer.

Chanel and Dior sales are declining too.

Lanolin lip balms are known for their deep moisturizing and healing properties, while ChapStick is a brand name for a type of lip balm that typically uses petrolatum as a primary ingredient. The main difference lies in their core ingredients and the way they treat chapped lips. Lanolin penetrates the skin barrier to heal, whereas petroleum-based balms mainly sit on the surface to create a protective barrier.

1. It's 12.33 for a 4 pk.
2. Burt's Bees used to be an excellent brand, stopped purchasing as soon as they got bought. We all know what that portends. :scust:

In 2004, private equity firm AEA Investors purchased 80% of Burt's Bees for US$173,000,000

My house gets so dry in the winter that I have to run the humidifier for my cats. My lips were in a sorry state, as was my hair. So I made a point to seek out the best occlusives and what would heal the damage done. I bought lanolin lip balm and lanolin + petrolatum hair grease that I use on my ends.

@Gloxina
Thank you for @‘ing me because I needed that tip!! If I don’t start my winter skincare routine a few weeks before winter officially begins my skin is a PROBLEM until like middle of Spring. No joke.
