Go in there & murder the interview so they have no reason to question you & call your refences.

Damn straight. Charm these b*stards. They don't really wanna be bothered with doing that extra work(references checking schools etc) anyway and are looking for someone they can just snatch up.

It's all psychology.

Don't lie. Employers will check your references and work history. Its not worth it.

Me after enduring the working world for 5 years :unimpressed:

Lie like a muthafukka nikka. LIE. These crackas dont know what the fukk they doing either but, making $100,000. Just make sure you can at least back up your bullshyt somewhat.

The worst they can do is fire you and you'll just be back to where you are now :hubie:

You can usually "pep" up your skills a bit. Skill level is usually subjective. What might be an expert excel user in one company might be intermediary in another. I will say this, be careful with technical skills/programs like Excel, SQL, Java etc. People can easily pull your card if you don't have the chops.

Man i used to think the same way in my early 20s lol. Now in my 30s; if I did it once — It's going on my resume, if I worked around it — it's going on my resume, if someone spoke to me about it once — it's going on my resume

A lot of the time, the interview is harder than the position lol. I said this on a thread before, but soft skills is important. The interview, if it's panel, only one person is usually technical, the rest of the people want to see if they can live with your ass for 8 hours a day.

So yeah, finesse the truth a little to get your foot in the door...
