Sounds about right. Mafia has always been pretty much a 7/10, never anything above. Looking at the gameplay videos, shyt is also outdated. I don't expect it to be GTA, but it's nothing more than a skin.
This ain't no Mafia game, gameplay was always generic in those games but they always had redeeming qualities outside of the story like detailed game worlds...

Imagine RDR2 with no life in it, completely baron...All the peds stand still in looping animations, you can't shoot or interact with them in any way, nobody on the roads, and you can't take any shortcuts because bushes act like invisible walls to keep you on the road...That's this bullshyt bruh...

I've said in before, but Rockstar has us spoiled. Elder scrolls are also good. I've critiqued a lot of open world games because they just didn't have any level of detail or interactivity. Ghost of Tsushima, Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077, etc.

The day's of driving/walking through dead cities with brain dead pedestrians is not it for me.

The thing is this franchise was one of the OG's of the open wild crime genre...

Go play the OG Mafia...a game devs from this same studio made 23 years ago and look how lively that game world is...

How do you downgrade from that to this lifeless dull bullshyt? That's what wild to me...
