even more, dei and affirmative action are legacies of the civil rights act. at an hbcu, the students should have a strong command of the policies, what they actually are, what they are designed to do, and the outcomes. and if the outcomes are not favorable, have thoughtful recommendations on how to fix or pivot and not acquiesce the opposing position of destroying them.

zach and cody don't actually know what dei is and is conflating it with affirmative action which is a product of conservative subterfuge along with the "woke" non-sense. they should've called them out on the fraudulence. if they're so against illegal immigration, challenge them on why the conservative agenda enables the environment where corporations can maximize profits by driving down wages by employing illegals over natural born citizens.

They got the exact reaction they were looking for. They weren’t there to debate in good faith but there to get a wild reaction and they got it. I think one of their videos got over 1M views.

I feel you either calmly debate them with facts, simply ignore them or call the cops if they are violating school protocols by setting up a table without a permission.

Also while I do believe we need to know how to debate our issues, this was not a moderated debate.

Think about it. They control the footage shown. Someone may have calmly debated them and won---but they would never show that.

Engaging with those people under those conditions is no win. If the students did right, the footage of civilized Black students wouldn't have emerged unless a student recorded it. If you engage, you become rage bait.

Anyway our schools need to teach kids how to deal with this stuff.
