That's not the same
Its not but that’s how it was viewed back in those days. I remember Bird and em having a prayer once Magic announced it. Everybody thought HIV was pretty much looked at as death back then. That amount of stress of thinking your pretty much a dead man walking had to have weighed on magic.

YUP WOULDA WON THE TITLE HAD WORTHY NEVER BEEN INJURED

MAGIC WOULDA HAD ANOTHER 4-5 GOOD YEARS HAD HE NOT CAUGHT HIV IN HIS PRIME AND BEEN FORCED TO RETIRE EARLY

DEFINITELY WOULDA HAD A BETTER CASE FOR GOAT AND MAYBE WOULDA WON ANOTHER 1-2 TITLES
Interesting.

So the Lakers were 1 healthy James Worthy away from a title in 1991.

And the Blazers were probably a not-in-the-USSR prime Sabonis away from a title in 1992.

Yet yall all sit here in awe about how under no circumstances was Jordan beat-able.

LOL @ niqqas in here remembering PSYCHO MAGIC!! :russ:

I laugh my ass off when heads think today's players are whiners. Magic was the KING of that shyt. :russ:

I read in one book, I think Jack McCallum's Dream Team, that Magic annoys the hell out of people in pickup games. When he doesn't like the call, he will stand there, hold the ball, and have an incredulous look on his face and basically pout until he gets the call.

By his late years in the Lakers, teammates just grew accustomed to getting yelled at by both Riley and him.

The Euros got it the worst, Vlade on LA, Kukoc on CHI. Even Jordan said Pippen was hard on Kukoc. I can only imagine how bad it must be if Jordan of all people thinks someone is being tough on a teammate.

U GOT THE WRONG PERSON, I NEVER CLAIMED MJ WAS UNBEATABLE

IN FACT, I THINK HE'S OVERRATED BASED ON THE MYSTIFICATION OF HIS LEGEND

HE'S STILL A GOAT THO...JUST THAT MEDIA AND MARKETING ELEVATED HIS STATURE TO INHUMANE LEVELS, WHICH I UNDERSTAND WHY, BUT IT MAKES HIM SEEM LIKE A GOD AMONGST MEN, WHEN THERES A HANDFUL OF PLAYERS WHO WERE ON THAT LEVEL.....

LEBRON SIMPLY AINT ONE OF EM LOL

The Lakers had no business being in the Finals that season :mjlol:

Magic got there with mostly spare parts nikkas like Terry Teagle and shyt..

The Blazers always self destructed in big games
Terry Teagle and his high ass socks. LOL!!

My god....he was the oldest head on the team too.

I've often wondered what the Lakers would have done if Magic hadn't retired after the 91 season. I can imagine them possibly trying to get someone like a Barkley or a Nique to pair up with Magic and that could have possibly changed the course of NBA history. We may have gotten more of Mike vs Magic and maybe just maybe Mike wouldn't have gotten to 6 rings. But of course history played out differently and left Jordan as the undisputed goat.

Barkley would’ve been a Laker in 92 if Philly didn’t back out
