That's what makes this game so fascinating.

It's actually a benchmark game for Mahomes's career. I think if he wins, they'll win the super bowl, and Mahomes will be back on track to get many rings and try to catch Tom if he can

But if they lose, it'll make people realize they blew their shot at a dynasty. And it will also make people pay attention to Mahomes's flaws and put things in perspective. Because many people act like Pat and the Chiefs are already a Dynasty for some reason, and they constantly say Mahomes is the best QB ever, already. So if they lose, it'll lead to a correction.

@murksiderock as i mentioned in another thread, if Mahomes doesn't win another ring, people will realize that Mahomes actually isn't THAT much better than his peers - he just landed in a better spot, so he got a better headstart. People will also realize that Mahomes isn't the first QB to do the things he's done... Favre, Warner, Stafford, Rodgers, etc. Have all done side-arm throws, no look passes, scrambling, underhand tosses, etc...

I sound like a hater but I'm not. Mahomes is great. But he's riding a stock bubble that needs to pop

Bruh you don't sound like a hater, you sound like an objective football head. This board is Pro-MaCracker and any criticism is met with force, so these nikkas will label you a hater. These dudes just aren't objective football heads...

You know how many times I told dudes the last few years Mahomes not the first guy to do these "wow" plays? He's the evolution of Marino---->Favre---->Manning---->Rodgers----->now it's Mahomes...

Every single one of the aforementioned quarterbacks was said to be the most gifted player at his position ever. Literally all of them. Mahomes ain't broke no mold, and part of what got nikkas tight on here was I was the first guy to call this out here abd nikkas know I'm right 🤣. The funny thing is all four of the aforementioned underachieved in their careers, all are GOAT 10 All-Timers but if you look back at each of their careers, they were all somewhat underachievers given The Culture told us all were the greatest things to ever touch a football and would run The League...

Mahomes will break this mold if he wins 3 Super Bowls, or if he plays in 5. None of these guys did that and they all had lengthy careers (17+ years for them all). Winning multiple MVPs isn't distinguishing himself from anybody, Favre won 3, Fraudgers won 4, Manning won 5. All the acrobatic passes aren't new, the extension of plays aren't new. History shows us all these "most talented QB ever" types wind up with two chips.ol max, and have All-Time careers while not quite fulfilling the expectations "the best player we've ever seen" is supposed to have...

This game means alot for both in the grand scheme of things. I know this, even in a loss, Mahomes can't get OUTPLAYED by Burrow in two consecutive AFCCGs on his home field. Burrow outplayed him last year. I don't wanna hear all that "the quarterbacks aren't playing each other" bullshyt the apologists be on, we know how QBs are compared and it's been that way for a long time. Mahomes was arguably outplayed by Allen last year at home, was certainly outplayed by Brady in the Super Bowl the prior year, was outplayed by Burrow last year...

He's an All-Timer but this "gap" people pretend is huge, is contradicting itself in two years back to back. He can't make it a third year in a row someone else outplays him, not for the guy everyone swears is the best player at his position ever...

Eh, basically, he's the best QB in the league, but people need to pump the breaaks when they say he's already the best QB ever, and try to act like he is so much better than everyone despite just having 1 ring. That's what I'm saying. And that if Burrow gets a chip this year, he's QB1 imo

Bruh rings aint that important. Got no impact on how great a player is. Its 3 phases to the game can't ignore the major impact the other 2 have on the game.
nikkas would be at Pat hat if he had the numbers Joe had vs the Ravens. Bengals defense turn tf up but thats Joe's doing right :skip:
The things Pat does on the field is :wow:
Put it like this he can do everything all the greats do equal or better than they can but they can't do everything he can. And that matters.
Dude gon be the best barring injury we can write that in sharpie

Bruh stop this shyt...

"Rings not that important" except nobody called Brady the GOAT until he passed Montana in ring count...

"Rings not that important" except Marino would be the consensus GOAT for many, if not most, if he had one or two...

All-Time greats were doing the wow shyt Mahomes was doing before Mahomes was born. In a decade we'll have an updated, modern version of Mahomes that everyone will say is the greatest thing ever...

You nikkas either have short memories or aren't learned on the history of the sport. I saw this same hype train with Rodgers and Manning and they did the same shyt with Favre and Marino before them. I told cats this years ago and yall still forcing some "he's different" shyt...

Rings are that important. The fukk :mjtf:

And breh come on

We all know the QB has a large impact. Yes defense and special teams matter, but the QB has a disproportionate impact.

Look at the 2021 title game last year. Mahomes threw the game away - it wasn't his defense or special teams that gave up 30 points in the 2nd half or anything. He threw two interceptions, missed a ton of throws, and almost had a game losing fumble in the last minute of regulation. He cost himself a chance at another super bowl appearance.

I bet you if Mahomes had won last year you'd be using his rings as an argument for him. I'm not gonna attack you but I feel like your valuing Mahomes's aesthetics too much. Burrow seems more crisp at attacking defenses within the pocket :manny:

Well said. Mahomes may very well just be Favre 2.0 if he's not careful.

No I wouldn't cause my biggest argument for an individual is not a TEAM accomplishment. It's a highly flawed way the media simplifies how good a player is cause its the easiest way to boil it down for the masses. Oh that team wins this QB must be the best individual. Its stupid. IDC how much impact a QB has cause no team wins without a team thats stacked somewhere on one side if the ball.

5 straight AFC championships....
2 SB appearances
1x SB win

If he wins again, he's already #2 behind Brady IMO (I honestly dont think its possible to ever move ahead of him)

Him Reid and Kelce are the only constants on that offense

🤣 🤣 🤣 you nikkas who feel the need to let me know you don't read my "novels" is how I know you read them 🤣. There's a ton of shyt I don't read on here and I don't need to respond to anyone to tell them I don't...

Winning the most championships, or the most recent one, isn't what makes someone the best quarterback. But the journey into championship success is a large factor into equating greatness--->and when you talk about what makes a player great it can't all be based on skillset either...

Unless you're about to tell me Stat Padford is the greatest QB ever based on his measurables and skillset 😄 🤣...

It's a balance of how often you contribute to your team's success, and the level of skill you display on the gridiron...

If mahomes just gets to the SB this year, it will be a successful season legacy wise.

He will need to win another SB or 2 in the next 10 years.

But for everyone saying this game is career defining, it's not. Because if Mahomes wins the SB this year, the haters will still say he needs to do "this or that" 2/3 years from now to be one of the GOATS on some "what have you done for me lately shyt".

Just say yall don't like the nikka.

Yes I have, I don't hold him to a different bar than I hold any other elite quarterback. Cats get emotional on here at me calling him white, so they create this narrative that I have bias against fam, which just isn't true...

Stop playing, breh.

This all started with that Watson vs. Mahomes shyt and your refusal to admit you were wrong. You've been doing all this unnecessary shyt since making threads like this -
