Bruh stop this shyt...

"Rings not that important" except nobody called Brady the GOAT until he passed Montana in ring count...

"Rings not that important" except Marino would be the consensus GOAT for many, if not most, if he had one or two...

All-Time greats were doing the wow shyt Mahomes was doing before Mahomes was born. In a decade we'll have an updated, modern version of Mahomes that everyone will say is the greatest thing ever...

You nikkas either have short memories or aren't learned on the history of the sport. I saw this same hype train with Rodgers and Manning and they did the same shyt with Favre and Marino before them. I told cats this years ago and yall still forcing some "he's different" shyt...
This isn't completely true, it wasn't the consensus or unanimous but there was segment that called Tom the GOAT.

And you gotta chill with these MaCac names it's discoloring your catalog lol if you not a Mahomes hater it's painting you as one.

He's a Mahomes hater :pachaha: @murksiderock don't front like you not bruh, you got something against him...I know you at the crib hoping they blow this game so you can come in here like

If he gets this 2nd ring, you can't downplay his career for at least 2 seasons lol.

Props to Mahomes

He learned from last year, didn't force anything, checked it down more.

I'm disappointed in Burrow
Burrow gonna get a ring soon. He too good.

Mahomes needs to secure this 2nd ring before these other QBs start winning :pachaha:

salute to OP sticking to his gimmick. :salute:

Ain't no gimmick...

This is definitely a Legacy Game, going on his resume as one of his career-defining moments. It's probably the best I've seen him which is saying something, given he's obviously hurt and how thoroughly he outplayed Burrow with said injury...

I'm not the biggest fan of fam but I enjoy watching him play. I don't have anything bad to say about any players who go out on their shield in a loss, him losing this (or any game) isn't that critical compared to how he actually plays. He lost the '18 AFC Championship but was outstanding in that game, if i was a "hater" you'd hear me talking about that game but I don’t...

Yall gotta stop this projection shyt just because I call dude white 😆...

He put some distance on the field with this game. I still think Mahomes at his absolute greatest vs Allen at his absolute greatest is for all intents and purposes a draw; I still think the gap between he and Allen is the consistency to which Mahomes plays at a high, mistake-free level, whereas obviously Allen has more lapses of subpar play and turnover issues...

Allen doesn't have a game like tonight on his resume...

He put some distance on Burrow because there's no reason Burrow should have played this poorly, there were forced throws, that idiotic intentional grounding, errant passes, he was off. And Mahomes was hurt. For Mahomes to undress you so thoroughly while playing hurt is an indictment on the kind of performance you turned in...

Burrow has a little leeway where Allen doesn't, as not only have we seen Burrow outplay Mahomes befire but he won the game at Arrowhead, and led a Super Bowl run. Burrow is still 5-2 in his playoff career. But no question about it, Mahomes added some distance between he and Burrow with tonight's performance...

And no, I still don't think Mahomes is the greatest quarterback, or greatest "talent", or most "skill", I've ever seen. That's not any different from those of you who think he is all those things other than a difference of opinion. But my opinion is only that, I've explained it before, it ain't a "gimmick", it's not "hating" just because I don't have a full on slurpfest...

But this was an iconic performance and everybody else was already playing catch up to him, but he added some more space there. None of these other guys of this era yet have this kind of performance in their bags, and that's to say nothing of the counting stats and awards and achievements he's got...

I will say: Allen's last two games against the Chiefs were better or as good as Burrow's recent games against Mahomes.

I started this thread three years to track as he ascended in his greatness, obviously I saw some kind of historic ascension coming. As far as his accomplishments rank so far:

•playing in his third Super Bowl is the same amount of Favre and Rodgers combined, and is also more Super Bowl appearances than Marino and Young. These are four guys, particularly Marino and Rodgers, who guys have put "GOAT" on before;

•incoming second MVP is more than heralded All-Timers Marino, Elway, Starr and Staubach won, and of course Brees won zero and he's considered the GOAT QB who never got an MVP;

•his 10 (and counting) playoff wins already more than Brees (8), Young (8), and Marino (5);

•t-6th most in conference championship appearances, t-10th most in Super Bowl appearances;

•.800 regular season winning, .769 playoffs...

I remember seeing that deep out route against the broncos in 2017 and knew he was gonna be nice.

I didnt see this though. Goddamn.

Do you think he is a legitimate top 10 all time qb already based off of playoff acolades?

That's what makes this game so fascinating.

It's actually a benchmark game for Mahomes's career. I think if he wins, they'll win the super bowl, and Mahomes will be back on track to get many rings and try to catch Tom if he can

But if they lose, it'll make people realize they blew their shot at a dynasty. And it will also make people pay attention to Mahomes's flaws and put things in perspective. Because many people act like Pat and the Chiefs are already a Dynasty for some reason, and they constantly say Mahomes is the best QB ever, already. So if they lose, it'll lead to a correction.

@murksiderock as i mentioned in another thread, if Mahomes doesn't win another ring, people will realize that Mahomes actually isn't THAT much better than his peers - he just landed in a better spot, so he got a better headstart. People will also realize that Mahomes isn't the first QB to do the things he's done... Favre, Warner, Stafford, Rodgers, etc. Have all done side-arm throws, no look passes, scrambling, underhand tosses, etc...

I sound like a hater but I'm not. Mahomes is great. But he's riding a stock bubble that needs to pop
All of this much more so applies to the other AFC QBs that they try to place ahead of Mahomes or next to him. They want him to be usurped so they crown the Josh Allen’s and Burrows early as hell. Josh ain’t the first QB to be 6’5 and be completely hard to tackle. Cam made a career of that, and was criticized for his mechanics. Allen is turnover prone himself. Burrow while a top 3 QB, and while doing amazing this soon in his career, Cincy has done a good job at surrounding him with talent early as hell. What they lack in an OLine(common excuse made for Burrow) they make up for in having the best WR room in the league and a having a solid RB in Mixon. “Joe Cool” is the stock bubble that his been parroted from last year all th way until the clock ticked zero. “Mahomes kryptonite” is another narrative that was parroted since last years AFC title game. A whole alot of “not so fast on calling Mahomes the best QB in the game”. Especially toward the end of the season when Cincy was looking their best. “Joe cool always plays even better December! When it counts the most.” Well, it’s late January, and while he’s had a good playoff run, it’s clear who the better QB is at this time. Joe Cool had two costly picks tonight, while Mahomes only had a questionable slip up fumble. But all in all, Mahomes had 326yds, 2TDs and 0INTs, while Joe Cool had 270yds, 1TD and 2INTs. Burrow been riding a wave that was much deserved at first, but was definitely prematurely crowned. Both can be true at the same time.

Yeah I agree. I was disappointed with Burrow today. He's not getting enough criticism either.
