Now that Melo is official, I'm figuring Marc has to be the 2015 Target. He's the best passing big in that group of FA and he's a UFA so the Knicks can throw max money at him along with the opportunity to play for the system that got his brother a few rings.

Is that enough to get him idk. But he is another player who could potentially feast if he figures the triangle out. Also considering how Memphis went from defensive monster team a move away from a contender to a treadmill team once they went all analytics. I could see him being willing to move to the East where he will be recognized as a top 3 center in the league.

Also I know the rumors were the Knicks moving Amare but I think Barg near the deadline is going to be the move. His expiring (which is insured) can make the Knicks a decent option for a 3rd team if a salary match is needed to facilitate a deal.

I would argue that Bargs is better Amaré, he can pass and plays good 1-on-1 D, and is a good rim protector (terrible help defender). Why not keep him over STAT?

The I in Team

Man I'm real excited for this season to start. The east is gonna be wide open and it seems to have so much parity. We got our centerpiece, bunch of nice young bucks, Felton gone, chandler gone, Lamar gone...it all just seems like a dream :to:

Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors. I would like to thank you for blessing us this offseason, and I ask this coming season is low injury and exciting. May the triangle bring us many wins and may the zen master guide us to the promise land :lawd:

In no fukking way is Bargnani better than Amare. Bargnani is a poorly conditioned, airheaded, questionable effort-giving, non-rebounding big who arguably plays the worst help defense in the league for any front court player. He takes poor shots, makes J.R. type decisions at times, doesn't stretch the floor ( but he plays like he can, and his three point chucking hurts the team) and he's slow as fukk. He had a decent first month last year ( if that) and after that he was just as bad as he was in Toronto, he's pretty much a back up center at this point( he should never play at pf ever again ) and he may not even deserve p.t. over Aldrich at this point. Amare still showed he could be a dominate offensive player on the other hand, his post game became more natural and efficient, better at creating his own shot, way better in pick and rolls because he can pop or roll to the rim with the best of them, and he's still pretty fukking explosive. Also Amare is a better team defender than Bargs, and knowing someone is actually worse than Amare in the aspect of the game fukking blows my mind, and he is better rebounder by a decent margin. Man to man D is Bargs only real advantage to Amare. Really the only question for me can Amare stay healthy, and if he can't, then I'd rather one of the youngins get some extra playing time over Bargnani to help them develop.
