Knicks could buy a pick, trade an expiring for a pick, or do what they've done most years and try to get first dib at anybody who falls out the draft but has potential.

In my mind I think they move tyson, allowing all the knicks expirings to expire isn't going to equal the same amount of space off the cap due to the Knicks being so far over the soft cap.

Add to that the fact Teams have already expressed interest in acquiring Tyson, and considering that he can't shoot or post well I think Tyson's value would only go down if the Knicks tried to use him the triangle. Tyson can still get a first round pick because historically he rebounds after having a injury plagued season, so I think it would be a smart move.
