I was sort of hoping to see Kerr come here just because I thought he could serve as a proxy for Phil and because of the potential the triangle offense could bring. Hopefully Phil has another canidate in mind who would employ the triangle, or at least employ a lot of motion in their offense; I'm tired of seeing someone iso while the other players stand around for 40-50% of the game

I think the triangle is going to be run by default, the Knicks have time to find somebody. I don't see it being Mark Jackson though.

After this fiasco of GSW being willing to give a new coach a 5 year 5 million dollar deal just because the Knicks were interested (because he was suppose to learn to be a coach with Jackson training him). I think they will keep the process more secretive and might pick somebody unthought of at the moment.

Or Phil might be forced to coach 1 more time.....

I replied to that fool saying why can't it just be that it was a much better gig for a guy who wanted to stay out west AND he got the 5th year too? Plus, NOBODY here wanted Chris Mullin and his horrendous 1800s Brooklyn accent anyway.

He's a good coach that got a bad deal in GS, he gets the most out of his players, and he's a NY guy
Say what you will about the situation in GS but his players were fighting for his job til the last second of game 7 when many other teams would have given up

Yes, but he had beef with management. And on the New Knicks, management is Phil, and Phil is the only voice that matters. So I can see them believing the risk doesn't work.

And we keep it moving.
