I don't see Kings having anything to offer. I love the Bucks pieces in Henson, Delfino and llyasova. I can easily see a trade of J.R. Smith and Bargnani and rights to one of our overseas players for them

SOURCE: Phil Jackson has placed JR Smith on the trading blocks. Kings and Bucks drawing interest.

S/T Okafor for Amare :manny:

Then sign Beasley 2 yrs, $11 million (2nd yr player option)

I don't believe that source on JR Smith. All of the supposed targets (jason Thompson, Carl Landry, and Ilyasova) have longer deals and 2 of them are coming back from injuries.

don't need Harrelson, we already signed Jason Smith. I still expect a move to be made.

I rather the knicks keep the expirings on deck and see if they can get a pick or something from helping a trade work out.

Also I rather the knicks let JR get minutes this season so he just opts the fukk out next FA to get a better deal somewhere else. I mean unless he completely bombs (or does something extremely stupid..... again) he should be able to get paid next year.

Phil already stated he wanted to change the culture and chemistry of the Knicks. I can tell by his moves alone he wants more character guys on the team.

Nobody wants Jr, Bargs or STAT. Let's just use them & see how it goes. Maybe Phil can use his zen mind tricks on JR like he did with Rodman and Metta

Wait you want Character guys but want to sign Beasley for 2/11.

Who is a bigger headache, lower iq and not mention a worst basketball player than JR? Who was our best 2 guard and of the better players down the stretch last year.

:whoa: I know we didn't make the playoffs last year.

Carmelo Anthony's new five-year contract with the New York Knicks is worth $124 million, $5 million less than the maximum, according to ESPN New York sources.
Anthony's contract also includes a rare no-trade clause and has an early termination option after the fourth year, according to league sources.

Anthony was eligible to sign a contract for a maximum of $129 million but agreed to a deal worth $5 million less to give the Knicks more financial flexibility to pursue free agents in future summers. Anthony will make a maximum salary of $22.458 million in the first year of his contract.

League sources told ESPN New York that Anthony's contract will increase "slightly" in the second year but less than the maximum increase of 7.5 percent.

:ehh:
