still don't know what brogdon meant by "segregated".
I'm not sure if you're serious but I've looked at GIS maps and have been able to see how Milwaukee is segregated.Add Cleveland to the listNah Chicago & Milwaukee are easily the most segregated. Not surprising seeing how many people from here move to Milwaukee
Milwaukee is just as bad as if not worse than Chicago.Interesting
Rarely hear people talk about life in Milwaukee
I was going make a post about how black Milwaukee seemed based off of the crowd that was behind the tnt stage in deer city or whatever they’re calling it
My city is segregated, but by blocks not sections
So south philly had black blocks but you are always no more than 5-10 blocks away from a white block or Asian block so you constantly come into contact with those races whether in school or supermarket
In SP at least, the number of blocks away might be higher in other sections now that I think about it
That's thing in most cities there's a hyperbolic trend where the fortunate / privileged / benefactors from inequity are significantly further from the oppressed and marginalized. What cities aren't hyper segregated tho![]()
its only two neighborhoods out of 77 that have been historically mixed with black and white folks in Chicago (Rodgers Park & Hyde Park)
I was raised in Rodgers Park and even still you knew where the black folks lived and where the white folks was at.It was never truly integrated
