Yeah, we don't know what type of agreement allowed for the use of Mamba. Possible that Kobe was investing money, if Vanessa decided not to continue, it may be an issue with them using the name without permission.

The estate is likely trying to tie up any loose ends and make sure only people granted express permission are using his name.
