There are a lot of people making good money that live right at the edge, because they can't foresee losing their jobs or being out of one for a certain amount of time. Too many high earners spending every bit of money they get on things to stunt and keep up appearances.

Life can hit you hard. I was out of a job and in credit card debt because of the 08 financial crisis, so I know how quickly things can go bad. Luckily I was able to bounce back but it took a minute to get stable and get my credit score back up.
The worse thing you can do during the those hard times is think you can't improve.

Lots of mid career executives can't find jobs in their fields after a down turn. They have the network, experience, and skill set, but the hiring types are looking at younger people with lower salary requirements and less likely to get sick.

Plus when you're older its harder. Like if you're a 55 year old manager and get laid off. Odds are you will never find a job that good again . Companies do age discriminate.

Nobody GAF about late 40's through late 70s (thinking of the folks that need jobs and can't really get more than Uber Driver/Wal-Mart Greeter) - but I keep feeling that there's gotta be some type of untapped resource with people with that much accumulated knowledge. (I also feel that way when I see all these boys hanging out around my neighborhood, as well as entire nation states)

Cause if the company is paying you 120,000 a year - they're making at least 360K off your labor.

This is why I never make fun of people’s situations. You never know where life will take you I’m sure Diddy never thought he would be in a jail cell the lowest of the low with a person that was successful and taking advantage. I hope they get back on the feet and this is just a rough season which we all go through at some point be it with losing a job, losing a loved one or even yourself and about to lose your life.
