I agree with A Man Called Hawk, while I like the new suit design and lack of briefs, I would have liked the colors to be brighter, it would be a nice contrast to Zods all black everything, but its no deal breaker.

I have read some reports by peoople claiming to be "in the know" that the darker/more muddied costume gets replaced at the end by a brighter version once Superman becomes known and accepted by the public.
I am betting that is wishful thinking from old school hardline fans who want some version of the classic costume though.

The shyt they got him wearing in Man of Steel looks like he washed the shyt and the color faded.
