yeah i have a hard time understanding how 1 chick makes the decision for the majority. If she was the only one who didnt want to go, everyone else should have went and seen superman and the rest of you could go see the other movie the following week

TBH, I'd prefer not to. Having Clark as a reporter works better with a more campy Superman. Although if they made him a freelance reporter covering all around the world that would be pretty cool.

We might see him work for the daily planet by end or something.

She was so against it that another friend was like yea lets not yea let's watch After Earth instead on some shyt. Then we all went back forth between watching either The Great Gatsby or Man of Steel, the dudes wanting to see Man of Steel, girls wanting to see Great Gatsby. Then another friend suggested This Is The End and everybody agreed to see that. So yea , I probably put my foot saying we are seeing Man of Steel, but at the same I didn't want be a arbitrary decision in a way that alienate certain friends so yea.

Does anyone else agree that this movie is probably too big to fail?

I'm realizing that huge names can never fail, even if the last one bombed (all they have to do is wait for a reboot). We'll still give the name another chance out of curiosity, and a movie this hyped up only has to be *barely* decent to still be a hit.

Even if this did horribly with critics, people would still go watch just to see how bad it is! It can't lose!

most movies i considered bad, looked bad straight from the trailers, ive yet to see a movie where i was impressed with the trailer but didnt like the movie, im not worried about this movie at all, especially since Nolan is working on it. Im hoping all the shots of Crowe n Zod beefing happens in the beginning. Id gladly wait an hr before seeing Supes go to work if it means no over doing it with Russel Crowe
