Nice to know you've been taking your own advice.

I have no idea if you are being facetious or if you are serious. But I will assume that you are being serious.

Note: I do have good amount of money in savings but Im not going to disclose the amount to people who I literally dont know from a can of paint.

He put in most of his work during the 70s/80s and he has no student loans. I'd love to see national economic comparisons between now and then.

That's subjective. Some people are simple...they dont need material things for happiness. Maybe dude is already happy. He has kids that are grown, he has a wife, he has no debt...to each his own.

Whats subjective? I never said he wasnt happy. I'm sure he is fairly happy with his life. Part of me thinks he's mildly retarded tho so I doubt it takes much for him to be happy. I'm saying he'll never enjoy the money. He'll never spend some exorbitant amount on something that he will really enjoy. He's going to nickel and dime his way to his death bed.

From a psychological standpoint....I think he spent his whole life being the dumbest person in the room. Never had any decent career hopes or aspirations...was never expected to amount to anything. Now I think he's actually found something, he's acquired some information that other people are interested in. He finally found something people are asking HIM for help with. I think he derives his self worth out of this. He uses all the money he's saved to validate himself. So he never will spend the money. Because if he spent it all....he would just be another old, broke, simple ass nikka who's talking out his ass.

I'm happy for him. He's definitely gotten the most out of his natural (lack of) abilities, something we should all aspire to do. But for an average person...anyone who makes a concerted effort to save and invest for 40 years or whatever....if they only have $500,000 to show for it then thats a failure.

Most people that don't need material things for happiness don't live in the US lol. Dudes trying to pump that garbage. It might not be Rolls Royce type material stuff it might be guns for the hicks, combat boots for those goth people, seeds for the herbal drinking crew but its material stuff none the less. I assume you just talking about the standard material stuff though so I'm just messing with you a little.
