Non of ya business how much I got in the bank.
If your actual living situation doesn't change, you are not rich. Very inspirational story-- I smiled watching it-- but a half of a million dollars BONDED at 60 years old is pointless. The real inspiration of the story is that he overcame the odds and was able to provide for his family and raise them successfully into adulthood. Never needing to use his Plan B is good, and I expect that his kids won't hesitate to cash in as soon as they are able to.
Oh and this is probably going to go over your heads but it's important enough for me to state: The whole thing about investing is a myth.
I can't speak for dude but maybe he's talking about how saving wont usually get you big money for most of us.What about it isn't true?
I hope the kid knows betterThe saddest part is...he's going to keep doing this for the rest of his life and he'll never enjoy any of that money.
Then he's going to die. And his son is going to blow it all on cocaine and strippers, be broke within a year.
That's subjective. Some people are simple...they dont need material things for happiness. Maybe dude is already happy. He has kids that are grown, he has a wife, he has no debt...to each his own.The saddest part is...he's going to keep doing this for the rest of his life and he'll never enjoy any of that money.

That's what the internet is for...google the same information ol boy got. Dude is 60 so you know he's not as computer savvy as people in their 20s.Title is misleading. He worked at a brokerage firm. Even with getting paid 12 an hour, its a lot more opportunities working in the parking lot of a brokerage firm, then it is working the parking lot at walmart.
