That’s a fact. I log into my computer at 8, but don’t start any real work until 9:30/10. I hit the gym during the day now and avoid the after work crowd. Life is just overall better. We out here
Start my days at 10am now and usually end by 2:30.
Able to have a whole separate life before work, where I can hit the gym peacefully
Overall I feel a lot more productive and can think clearly.
Been working from home, for 5 going on 6 years.
Damn near negged you just now. My career has sputtered and WFH ain't happening until I upskill. I miss the days of taking calls while playing ball in the park
BRUH I used to be on some shyt.
Man I was on that same bullshyt early on when WFH started. I was at the barbershop, movies, and down at the beach/pool. I’ve calmed down a little bit lol.Working from home 3-4 days a week>>>
Best thing to come out of covid. They won't dare try to take it away either since they know people will leave.
Don't understimate the level of a$$hole in the leadership of some of these companies. I felt the same way as you at my old company. We were thriving, still had record profits for the quarter. Then the CEO gets on a conference call and says they're making everybody return back to office 3 days a week. Even people that were designated as remote employees pre-Covid were told if they live within an hour and a half of one of the offices had to start going in.Working from home 3-4 days a week>>>

AT&T CEO to Employees: Embrace RTO or Move On
In a memo to employees, AT&T CEO John Stankey made it clear that the company's future will not include remote-first flexibility — and those resisting the change may need to move on.www.entrepreneur.com
He called out a small group of employees who expressed resistance to those changes, writing: "If a self-directed, virtual, or hybrid work schedule is essential for you to manage your career aspirations and life challenges, you will have a difficult time aligning your priorities with those of the company and the culture we aim to establish."

I'm surprised there haven't been studies on people. For instance, detailed physical and mental health checks/surveys on people who WFH in comparison to how they were pre-Covid.That’s a fact. Because that's what they wanted all along. They ended up losing a large amount of employees.
Yeah my new company saw how well WFH was working that they ended up selling multiple office buildings and mandated everybody work from home from those buildings. Some people were pissed because they wanted to still work in the office.Because that's what they wanted all along.
Mandating RTO just makes no sense. Apple, Sony, Samsung, and Microsoft have spent the last 15 years making it so that WFH was possible. Both via hardware and software. All of these companies paid for the tech. Now they want you to work in the office. It's silly. Awful managers don't want to do their job and most of these higher ups don't do anything but answer emails. It's harder to look as if you're doing something if you're whole team is at their respective homes crushing it I guess.

People need multiple streams of income along with a 1 year emergency fund. Anyone still relying 100% on their employer to make a living is a fool.Learn a valuable skill and become an expert. Then you can go wherever you want to go. Easier said than done, but that's the only real option. Only the average employees will have to bow.
