Yes many companies are disabling USB Ports for security reasons, but if they don't then that's on them!!!
If you use a USB plug on your work computer and you say that means the person should get fired, then people who click on a phishing link should also get fired, which i'm sure now you agree is too harsh and even unrealistic.

That's not gonna save people if you're company uses employee monitoring software. It takes screenshots of your desktop and records every app that is running. And can even watch you through the webcam.Idiot. Use a HARWARE jiggler that shows up as a generic input device, not software IT can detect. fukking moron
Idiots at my old company even tried using it against those of us in IT Security. When we're the ones who managed it. And knew how the software worked.

I use an app called mouse ripple or something like that. I've only seen it on the Google Play store. Couldn't find the equivalent on the app store. I turn it on then sit my mouse on top of it. It brings up patterns every minute or so that causes the laser mouse to pick it up as movement and the mouse will move. No software necessary to install on your laptop. This has worked for me when I need to step away for something.
