my job doesn't care as long as we hitting our TATs and deadlines and you showing up for the meetings you got to be in.

sometimes im busy as fukk.... other parts of the year i'm regularly going idle lol:manny:

that goes for our entry level employees too. as long as you doing the job that needs to be done you don't have to be "pretending to work" for the whole 8 hours.
People pretend to work whether in office or not. Some companies just prefer to see you in person not doing shyt I guess.

Quick question though, why are people installing software on their work computer?

Why not just log into teams or slyoe or whatever you use as a messenger via your personal computer and just install the software.

IT wouldnt be able to detect it on your personal comp, and even further, you cna always use your work computer and walk away
Any place with data worth a shyt will either make you use a work computer they can monitor, or, force to enable monitoring, remote, wipe, etc on your device. Very easy to do with MS 365 email. You get a prompt for permission when you enter your credentials the first time.

Eh idk bruh. Most of my boys and I use our personal cpus. It would be unethical to monitor my personal computer. Of course they mandate u use your work computer. Not saying you need to use that instead. Just saying sign into your messenger from that cpu.

Your company has no important data, is careless, or run by idiots. :manny:

If you had, say, HIPAA data and didn't, you would fail your compliance audit and possibly get shut down.

What kind of work at home job requires you to constantly be operating all day? Maybe it's because I work in IT but they know when we on projects is mad down times so nikkas may be away from their computer for hours. Nobody cares. Just get work done and attend meetings.

That’s called rewarding top performers with more work instead of bringing the lower performers up to standard. Only do as much as what’s required of the job. Once you over step that expectations of exceeding your contracted labor set in and you will be whored out.
Thats Office 101:

you can be great at your job but you should not finish your work too quickly. Because they will only reward you with more work and only 3% at the end of year :francis:

Pretty sure there is nothing on my work laptop but if it is, it does not matter. No one has brought up the times where i am "away" on teams or bouts of inactivity. I get my work done, so i have no issues with things like that. If i was not i am sure my time would get scrutinized.

Yeah I’ve learned that over time. I’m a top performer though regardless so I like job security over office politics. I have also learned when it’s time for cuts the darker the face the closer to the top of the list you are come lay off time :beli:

Thats why its a healthy balance between top perfomer, meeting due dates and not exceed them too much

its even worse when you’re in a scrum team like me. Where you should never underestimate tasks: always overestimate(put more hours then required).

There’s manual physical mouse jigglers. Virtually impossible to know. Again, if you’re not doing the work and showing work then just quit the job. Sooner or later they’re going to find out you’re doing shyt. :mjlol:

But if you can do your work in like 3-4hrs and rest is just passing time the like in the office. Then it can be worth it.

Installing software that does that shyt is just stupid.

Lmao we use caffeine on pc that hosts our dashboards… Security must not be strict at that company because we block all usb drives, and make users standard accounts so they can’t instal shyt without hitting up help desk. All .exes are getting blocked on sight.

Definitely ain’t if they can install shyt. Simple as that.

Unless it’s BYOD policy that is very lenient.
This person might have ruined it for many. :mjlol:

We put a policy into our 365 tenant that stated if you weren’t on a pc that was in our domain you can’t login into Teams. shyt like this makes me appreciate the policies we rolled out.
