im very much in tune with reality.

the communication gap here is because youre not in tune with hip-hop. or maybe youre just a youngn.

I mean look at the bolded. it makes me sick to my stomach.
industry consensus??? when did we get to this point??? this is what I was trying to get thru to you in the last post.
hip-hop is supposed to be ANTI-industry. now look what its been relegated to and how they got you arguing and classifying things.

lol. If you think mannie fresh is relevant in 2020 then your the one not in tune with hip hop. Storch is at least still working with new artist and actually has recent hits. You probably still rockin ecko, karl kani, and miskeen shirts.

nikka I dont care what you played on your R&B tapes not alot of people fukked with that song heavy on that first Beyonce album other than it was forced to us as a single.
No. Not true. Before the shyt became a single it was a lot of peoples top 5 favorite song on the album. This is before it was a single.

Look nikka the fukkin Supremes fit a fukkin old school playlist just like fukkin Aretha Franklin does. Lemme guess. U nikkas don’t bump Minnie Ripperton’s “Inside My Love” or “Loving You”? U nikkas OVERCOMPENSATING. fukkin goofies.

I guess we gonna have to agree to disagree cause those song are bonafided classics

Can't say the same about me myself and I :manny:.

I don't look at Neptunes & timbo as goat-level producers either. but theyre nowhere near my all-time top 10 hip-hop producers.

but the lines are so blurred now, its sickening.
Two questions

1. What criteria do you have to meet in order to be considered a "goat-level" producer?

2. What do you mean by "the lines are so blurred now, its sickening."?

And what’s the difference?. The chick Is singing about lettin a nikka fukk on one of them. And how much she loves a nikka on the other. I’m not speaking on how classic a song is. Y’all just tried to shyt on me for listing a fukking RnB record because a woman sings it. Dumb shyt.

I name dropped the song cause it’s a fukkin dope RnB record that a lot of people fukked with. I fukked a few bytches to that record. Y’all nikkas just be overcompensating. It’s not that serious.
Yo it is dope but the image of fukkin a chick to that song is hilarious. Lol thats the hurt female anthem. I can’t even imagine a nikka puttin that shyt on :hubie:

U dont got to like him but you are being dishonest. You gonna act like the streets aint messin with Roddy Rich?

And your right. Shawty Redd might beat him too. Shawty Redd got undeniable classics with Jeezy, gucci, snoop, TI and more. Mannie ran outta tracks to play and they were only going to 20. I like mannie but only a handful of those cash money tracks are unbeatable classics.

Dishonest about what? I know storch got street shyt, hell I wish he stuck to that cause he started on fire. And Mannie left hella shyt out I don’t where you get ran outta tracks from. You continue to show how suspect your opinions are on this. Maybe sit this one out...

Well shyt the album itself really only had a legit 6 songs that had any replay value on it back then & even now.

I don't understand the judging and how you win. What is it based off of? The stature of the artisit? How hard the beat it? Or chart placement? Serious Question....regional shyt aside. This is the first of these battles I actually watched some of.

Its no formal criteria. Just tune in and give yo opinion type shyt

I mean, the O.G. destinys child stuff with latoya & latavia still goes, but their later/bigger stuff general has little appeal to the fellas. the same goes for beyonce's solo career.

it parallels diana ross. you'll see an oldhead bumpin some early supremes. but you'll never see dudes playing diana ross solos. then add her later smashes which became gay community anthems.

youre doing Minnie & Aretha a disservice in this post, brohski.

Explain this corny premise to me. Two guys who made a bunch of hits during the worst era of rap (current era not withstanding) just play their beats back and forth to each other on the gram? And you guys actually watch this shyt? Are they recreating the beats on the spot or literally playing records/mp3's? I assume Storch's wack ass sits at a piano and plays his clunky ass trash which plays to the crowd because he can "play" piano.

you can set those same parallels to diana ross. you'll see an oldhead bumpin some early supremes. you'll never see dudes playing diana ross solos. a lot of her stuff is considered gay music.
So u ignored my Minnie Ripperton examples and Aretha Franklin? Look. If the shyt is on an RnB playlist. It is what it is. U nikkas acting like a nikka singing the records and snapping their neck while doing it. Overcompensating. Say u don’t like the record. U nikkas acting like I mentioned “Single Ladies” or some shyt. Me Myself and I is a smooth RnB record. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Edit: and I see u edited ur post as well.

Mannie def didn’t run outta tracks to play... if anything, he definitely made some bad choices outta his selection though

the unreleased Wayne with the Alicia sample
Juvenile Rich Children
Mannie Real Big
Wayne Way of Life
Wayne Mahogany

should’ve been replaced with

Big Tymers #1 Stunna
Juvenile I Got That Fire
Big Tymers Big Ballin
Juvenile Set it Off
BG Cash Money is An Army

switch those 5 out and the order of the songs he played and it changes the complexity of the battle depending on how you’re judging it

he should still leak the CDQ of that Wayne track tho :yeshrug:

Also who produced Playa Why Ya Hatin? Was it Mannie or was it DJ Paul & Juicy J?

are you slow??

when did I say mannie was relevant in 2020??

scott storch aint relevant either.

Bottom line. U make songs when u make em. There’s always a “before”. But end of the day. Them nikkas got shyt for every scenario. And u can DEF say the same shyt about Timbo for damn near the first half of his career. Either way. Them nikkas is the true definition of Super Producers. They got damn near every genre on lock. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong wit that. They can play a whole set list of straight up hip hop bangers. No RnB or pop shyt.

again, nothing wrong with being a super-producer.

im just saying, people need to stop blurring the lines.

for instance, timbaland is a top 10 r&b producer to me, but hes nowhere near my top 10 for hip-hop production.

the blurred lines are one of the reasons why it was easy for hip-hop to be infiltrated and eventually dumbed down to it lowest form & over-commercialized, as we see it today.
