Grossman went to a SB and who were his receivers? He got carried by that D the same way Cutler was. He's had Marshall the last two seasons and missed the playoffs so what are you saying? McCown in 5 games has matched Cutler's numbers in 8, that aint' holding down the fort that is showing the starter up, period. We aren't comparing apples to apples here. We are comparing a guy who you are considering giving $100 mil to to a journeyman. That shouldn't be close and the fact that is is reflects poorly on Cutler.

You can't give Cutler credit for the trip to the title game that year and then cop pleas and put the blame for everything else on other things. Spin it how you wish but Cutler has done nothing to warrant franchise QB pay or consideration. I have seen enough of Cutler to know he's inconsistent and liable to make the big fukk up (ala Favre) at any time.

I'm a Lions fan living in the Chicagoland area and I've come to this conclusion. As a Lions fan, I want them to pick Cutler as I don't view him as a franchise QB.

in last 20 years, the bears ended up with a winning record only TWICE when they didnt have top 5 scoring D
last time it was in 2008 with kyle orton at qb, 9-7 record
and before that that was nearly 20 years ago with steve walsh at qb

You can say Cutlers injury shouldnt be the reason hes benched...but then like Harbs last year you can go with a hot hand

True...very true. My two issues with Cutler are that people constantly try to hold him up as something he is not. And McCown has held my squad down since ARod went down. and now this nikka is back.

Difference is he's only 25 and he's already locked up. Pretty much gotta live with him. Jury is definitely still out on him, he's way to inconsistent for my tastes. I'd take him over Cutler though.

as much as you want to tie a qb to yall record, your defense is the one that influences the record far more than your offense does.
yall lost all games with mccown in which D gave up 400+ yards...you lose those games no matter whos your qb (well aside from someone like brady/peyton/brees/arod)
your defense gave up 200+ yards rushing in those games

your defense is dead last against the run. your team is 3-5 when d gives up over 140 rush yards
