Maidana showing more fire and determination to avenge his loss to Khan in a couple tweets than Broner is showing to avenge the ass whipping Maidana put on him.
In that interview Broner gave with Brian Kinney on Showtime he sounded like he would prefer to skip the rematch and spend his time making shytty mixtapes and gorging on Pizza Hut.

That's the point. People keep saying why should Broner get a rematch with Maidana when Maidana couldn't get one with Khan. Because, Broner was the champ and lost plus he had it written into the contract...that's why.

seeing what. if broner doesnt tighten up his defense its going to be the same fight all over again. being stationary is not how you beat maidana, especially if hes able to land at will which against broner he did. broner had his moments but he was throughly dominated. bother maidanas left and right hooks were deceptive because they look like body punches but they are actually hookss. maidana intelligently positions his punches and god forbid improved his body positioning to throw that type of wide hook. broners boxing i.q wasnt high enough to adjust to this. if broner doesnt fix that itll be the same fight over again, focused or not

its not pathetic. nobody sympathizes with broner but you to be honest, broner took a beating and maidana holds the cards to do as he pleases, if that means avoiding the rematch for now with bullshyt then so be it, you get that pass when you win. and its not like it was a close fight neither, it was a beating for the most part.

nobody is clamoring for a rematch but broner, not the fans (sans you), not the promoters and likely not even broners promotional team. right now kahn or mayweather is the fight people want to see.

Business wise it looks like Maidana wants that Mayweather golden ticket and talking shyt to Khan is just a part of how he and his team are going about trying to make that a reality. Until it is definite that he will not get Mayweather he will likely continue to put Broner on the bus because honestly Maidana can go back to that rematch at any time. Right now it's about getting the holy grail of a big money PPV with Floyd.
So hold ya horses, Broner Stan's. Once the Khan/Floyd match is official you will have your opportunity to see your mediocre hype job get beat up again.

Were'nt GBP flip-flopping on whether there actually was an immediate rematch clause in the Broner-Maidana contract? I wouldnt be suprised if there wasnt - they didnt put one in the Khan-Peterson or Khan-Garcia contracts. . For what its worth, i think Maidana knows he would have his work cut out in the rematch, much easier to take a beating against Floyd,( or fight Khan again, probably KO him too). Id favour Broner in the rematch fwiw .

If we get a decent card with the following i'd be happy ;

Floyd/Khan or Floyd/Maidana
Khan/Broner or Khan/Maidana or Maidana/Broner

Your comparison is flawed.
Not rushing into a rematch with a guy you beat up handily already while trying to secure a bigger profile/bigger money match is entirely different than avoiding a title holder in your same division who wants to fight you with no better option on deck. One is a duck and the other is trying to make the most money as a professional.

So where does Maidana trying to fight Khan on May 3rd fall? Khan isn't a bigger fight, nor will it make more money, but Maidana is willing and ready to fight him, even though he told Broner he needs to rest and wants to see his baby born
