I think it’s an upgrade in everything besides the cart options. I would’ve preferred for them to keep the cart customization.

The lack of customization and I guess tracks being too big and not feeling as well crafted. I am still enjoying it but the feel doesn't feel as good as 8

The new rainbow road is piff. Side note, I tried driving with the steering wheel/joy con 2 combo. It wasn’t for me. Steering didn’t feel intuitive at all. I might practice some more with it to be sure.

Koopa Troopa Beach feels like it's their new baby park. It's simple on purpose

Peach Stadium is bigger in the free roam, I guess they use the other half of it in the KO tour

Played the first race and came in 4th. Then went to Free Roam and to my surprise I ended up driving around the world for over an hour doing different things. Tried to catch a Robber in Crown City. Got into an unofficial race with Rosalina. This mode is actually quite addictive. Loving the game so far. No complaints.
