$16,000, and that was considered "cheap" by wedding standards. We're about to do our 10 year anniversary next year and the costs are already adding up :sadcam:

Edit:
spend $10,000+ on a wedding and lose half your shyt 5 years later brehs :mjlol:
:mjlol:
As if most Coli nikkas even have to worry about this! Half of nothing is nothing, breh.

@RGM

Same here $50 for the actual wedding.
took a little of the money we would have spent and went on a cruise.
now we do 2 cruises a year and thinking about getting some property in the Caribbean.
got friends married 8 years ago, still struggling to pay off a wedding.

I tell the anyone thinking about an expensive wedding all the time - do not start out in debt.

My one year anniversary is in April. We're planning on doing Hawaii.
:myman: Congrats! I have BIG plans for our anniversary trip, but I an't gonna put em out there b/c my husband lurks here on occasion.

This is true! We didn't have to go into debt for our wedding, but wedding debt is actually a common cause for divorce. Ironic as shyt.

If you're having a reception, party etc. easily $20K with catering, rentals and all that.

Paying off a wedding? As in financing it?

Right chea, breh!:myman: We paid roughly the same.

Paid off to have many associates with businesses (my black folks pulled through:blessed:).

After a cost analysis (which was the only thing keeping me sane throughout), wedding would've cost bout $19k to 20k.

Honestly, now after the how my son's mother did me fukk a wedding. The most expensive I'll consider is getting eloped in Vegas. If it is so important to her like back in the days, her father can finance that shyt. If he can't or she doesn't have a father then she can pay for that shyt herself and I'll probably show up. It is the biggest waste of money. I went to my cousin's own and loved it and would love to attend more, however, I am not working and spending for some shyt that doesn't benefit me at all.
