You actually put stock in saying you rathered Fitz win us 7 games than to play Geno or Petty but are now committed to a tank only after Fitz shyt the bed as we expected. Either way, had Geno gave us 6 good games starting the season as he should have, he could have been a cheap re-signing band aid to either build around or have compete vs a qb we drafted.

I'm of the opinion that Fitzpatrick lost the team, and he had done so before the season started. One guy threw support behind him because he knew he was going to get his touches. The organization as a whole didn't feel like it had better options. I totally understand the organization's decision to ride with fools gold over a much maligned unproven (Geno Smith). But Fitz just confirmed what most felt already knew.

Yes....players who saw him get snuffed still wanted him over Fitz because they saw him outplay Fitz practice. No...players don't put "Street cred snuffing" over being a better player. No...they don't.
