So why weren’t more black ppl in the 50’s/60’s more vocal against the Civil Rights Act? Or at least ambivalent to the idea of integration in general?

A lot of them were bought off like a lot of the Black spokesmen and politicians today, and the rest couldn’t see the long term implications.

There’s a small paragraph in Zinn’s ‘A People’s History of the United States’ where he talks about Rockefeller speaking at a meeting of the country’s most prominent white businessmen of that era who were against integration. Rockefeller explained how the integration of the Black dollar would only help white businesses in the long term.

Anyone who thinks the forced, begging integration that took place was good for Black people is a damned idiot, and all you have to do is look at the condition our people are in right this moment to understand that.

anyone that agrees with this and has this line of thinking, shouldn't even refer to themselves as black

T.I. didn't read the entire quote for context.

So that’s the entire quote huh? Dudes been posting that one out of context line to push their narrative for years.

Black people don't control the media. It was a covered topic by brothers in the know. It was an agenda and it was carried out with some benefits and unforseen consequences by the average man.

I take a serious socialst/anti capitalist message from that which is the main reason they had him killed IMO.

that being said what is crazy is he saw the writing on the wall 50 years ago, that same writing still there and been playing itself out. :unimpressed:

MLK helped transfer more black wealth to white businesses in exchange for a hug.

pretty much

The civil rights movement was about putting black money into white hands period

they make billions off of us now

when MLK realized what was going on he started talking about black economics and he had to go

y’all might be the dumbest people on here. MLK literally got killed because he dared to challenge the status quo.

who makes billions off of black people? Are there no black business owners? Do whites, Asians and Hispanics get good and services for free while black folks are the only ones who have to pay for anything?

@Mowgli you claim to be a liberal hater but you’re in here disrespecting probably the most notable black republican of all time.

and mods here probably won’t even do anything about your st0rmfr0nt ass posting. This website is fukkin done

You don't even know what the word means...... You named yourself after dog food and a rat... . Your mama probably ashamed the way you turned out.... :scust:

well I know what the word means and I’ve read enough of your posts to know you lack a knowledge of our history which means your grasp of what’s happening today is rudimentary at best.

What nikkas like you don’t seem to understand is that this isn’t even a debate anymore. The results are in buddy and you’re looking at em. We are dead last in every meaningful statistic that measures a people’s progress, and first in every negative category. We fought to integrate with a sick, sociopathic people and today we can see the results. We don’t have to “wait and see.” No, we can clearly see today.

And for those of us that can see past tomorrow into the future it’s clear that things are only going to get worse from here on out. You’re a short-term thinking nikka, so I understand why you see things the way you do. It’s just too bad for the rest of us that you and the people that think like you have always been the prominent voices. So tragic for the rest of us that we’ve had to follow the lead of the likes of you.

Bruh.... Who you think you fooling...? You said nothing and made a grandiose statement with no details..... historical context, data.... NOTHING...... You referred to a paragraph in Zinn's book that refers to economics 101 you learn in the 10th grade since this is a capitalistic nation, hence folding women, immigrants, etc into the mainstream workforce.... King was even against American style capitalism.... your entire point is a fallacy....... rooted in sensationalized youtube scholarship......

And quite frankly, you aint gotta follow nobody... you have the liberty to start any black movement, coalition, business, community, etc, of your choosing, but you and your ilk will rather come online and be in your feelings and try to pseudo intellectually pass the blame to some more nikkas...... :smh: Yall sad as fukk.....

No, that little paragraph helped set the stage for where we are today dumbass. We went from having businesses and working our way to being competitive in this country and having some political leverage to owning absolutely nothing. Being competitive at nothing that matters. No political leverage except a vote for Democrats that those white folk don’t need or even care about anymore. So it isn’t Economics 101 if you can’t place basic economics into our historical context. Which you can’t.

I already told you there’s nothing to debate. The results are in and the debate is over. The time for “movements” and organizations was decades ago, not today.

Claude Anderson told you nikkas we had until 2014 before we became a permanent underclass in this country, but nikkas like you thought it was a joke. Well, you’re about to see who the real joke is during these midterms and in 2024.

Like I said, all you have to do today is look at the condition of Black people at present and into the future and you have all the data you need. You nikkas were wrong. And the really sad thing is here in 2022 you can’t even see that, so you’ll keep preaching the same bullshyt which obviously hasn’t worked and has held us back for the last 60-70 years. Congratulations c00n, you helped lead a once proud and industrious race to the trash heap of history with your ego, ignorance and fat mouth.

You really trying to Ban Flop like Vlade Divac huh. :russ:

It's disgusting.

Just stating facts as I see it's what's your problem?

Brothas got conned ultimately.

The set asides we got from the civil rights movement went to white women, foreigners, gay men like you and other non ados groups. I think we lost more then we gained in the long run.

Jist like a liberal to try and get people charged up with emotions so they can be removed. I mean if you disagree you disagree. Maybe it's time you put me on ignore since you're done with me.

:yeshrug:. I think I'm done with your bytch ass. First person I ever had to ignore.

Little boy you don't have the constitution for this kind of conversation. Sit down and let the men talk.
