Probably more likely to be Deathbird. She was one of Carol's earliest villains and it would make sense if the movie is set in space since Deathbird is from Shi'ar.

It could also be Mystique. She started out as a Ms Marvel/Carol Danvers villain (the old Ms Marvel comic was where she first appeared) and it was through her that Rogue came into contact with Carol later on.
