You said Superman is more well known to casuals than F4 but he was also more well known than all those other characters. That's not a deciding factor in at the box office.

It's going to mostly be the reviews and which universe do audiences feel more attached to.

Casuals may not even know this a DC reboot and may not give it a chance because they soured on the DCEU.

I literally said that unless Superman (2025) is bad, I expect it to gross more than FF: First Steps. Superman having more notoriety will probably help the film at the box office since both films are releasing relatively close to one another.

The MCU is at a low point right now, so the MCU brand isn't nearly as strong as it was during its peak (2014-2019). I expect Superman (2025) to outgross every MCU film of 2025. If not, I would be very surprised.

It ain't gonna flop opening weekend at all. I never thought it would. I think it's easily gonna go over $100M in the first weekend. I don't know where the word of mouth will take it from there but it'll have a hot start.

100 million ain't shyt if your budget is 400 plus. It would need some major legs to clear its budget but I am not sure exactly how much it cost to make but it would need major international numbers to make a profit.

I haven't seen reports on the budget on this yet so I don't know but Marvel's first thing they gotta do is get the movie right. Make a good movie. If it's good, it's gonna open big but also have long legs at the box office in the Summer.

Maybe more importantly, it'll get people excited about Marvel again.
