It's an alternate future, non-canon timeline. It's stupid and silly but ultimately irrelevant.
They're not changing anyone's story. They're just not using Norrin (...for now).Why? There is no need to change Silver Surfer's story
He's a major character.
The Fantastic Four are in an alternate universe in the movie, and so things are different. It looks like their universe will be destroyed by the end of the movie, and the FF will join the main MCU timeline.
Maybe Norrin Radd's Silver Surfer will appear in a future MCU project. Who knows?
. .. . if Galactus devoured the F4 version of Earth and sacrificed his herald in the process . . .. he comin for 616 next and a heart-broken Norrin surfin for the get-back . . . .. but i dont see how a Celestial threat would tie into the next two Avengers flicks . .. . unless Galactus appears at some point in Doomsday and everybody teams-up to send him back to the realm . . . . and then DOOM shows up at the last-minute to let them know shyt barely popped off yet . .. .
