that kane & abel song didn't drop until summer 1998, which is pretty much around the time when they started going all out with the pac stuff.

You got Silkk screaming "all I wanted to be was a soldier" on the song "No Limit Soldier".

this was in-style back then.

and its not like pac was ever really on-camera wearing this aisde from that clip in "above the rim", which was a movie.

it was never part of his brand. and him using the word "soldier" in some raps, isnt that big a deal either.

But he was the Walmart of rap for those who didnt want to dig deep into the souths & bay area's music and history.

the dirty little secret that P detractors are avoiding like the plague is that P's versions of the stuff he bit in his heyday were better than the songs he got the ideas from...….and that's another thing. he didn't outright bite most of the songs. a lot of the times he would just take a title, hook, concept or at most a flow. then he'll flip it into something completely different.

the ice cream man sounds nothing like the dru down/luniz version - which was wack.
hoody hoo sounds nothing like outkast song - which I always skipped on SPCM.
UNLV's "bout it" was dope but no way in hell would it have blown up nationally, even if it was on a major.

2) I didn't lie. I said the pics weren't rare, which is why I posted the article. There are pics of Pac wearing army fatigues that aren't in the article. One of them is Pac at a speaking event (which again isn't rare).

3) TRU's "Hoody Hoo" wasn't really a hit and Kast's song is more popular even though it was never really pushed as a single. That song was still popular to the point where people referenced TRU's song to that one.
