You can't be mad if you're a Mets fan.

1. The Mets didn't expect to be in this position and even if they did they should've planned for it.
2. They should've waited to bring Harvey back if they knew they were going to push for the playoffs. Even if they lost more games and wouldn't be in the playoff hunt, it wouldn't have mattered because nobody expected them to compete this year anyway.

At the end of the day if a doctor tells you something.. you do it.

This is where the fans are selfish. You expect someone to risk years off their playing career and potential millions in salary just to play in the playoffs because your team hasn't been there in a minute? :mjpls:

you can absolutely be mad if youre a mets fan. a player is being paid, and is healthy, and is holding himself out when the team has a legit window for a fukking world series title. its an absolutely selfish, bytchmade move. had he told the team from jump they would have held him out, missed a start here and there etc. he springs that on them at this point and expects no one to shyt on him for it? :dead:

Why people blaming Harvey? The Mets KNEW this going into the season. I can see if this was now brought to their attention but it wasn't. The Mets lucked their way into playoff contention (The Nationals are handing it to them on a silver platter), and now their stuck. The Mets played Harvey like they were going to shut him down before the end of the season because they didn't expect to be in contention. So get over it. They Mets knew what they were doing. He's thrown over 100 pitches 15 times this year. :usure:. They was pitching him like they were trying to get all they could before they had to shut him down.

1. Dumb excuse. If you're in the Mets' position right now, as a man, why would you trip over an innings limit if you're Harvey?

2. Without Harvey, they may not be in this position, which is why this pisses fans off so much. This isn't Dillon Gee talking about "I'm capping my innings" or Bobby Parnell on some "I can only pitch so much" shyt. It's your ace.

3. He's not a free agent for FOUR MORE YEARS! Pitching in the postseason (and possibly pitching well) can only help his cash flow. Shutting it down will not.

Tell you what, as much as I clown Mets fans for stuff, I can't do it for this. He's trying to shut it down for the playoffs. Could you imagine if he was a Yankee and did this? Girardi would pitch him in every game on some Betances shyt until he re-broke the ligament.

A player being paid less than 500k per year with new York city/state taxes, who is 26 and has yet to get that big pay day. fukk that I'm shutting it down. You can't miss what you never been too. The Mets fukked up not Harvey. And Harvey didn't have to say nothing.... HIS DOCTOR gave the recommendation. A world renowned doctor at that.

The Mets wanted to do a 6-man rotation, but Harvey wanted no part of it. Strasburg had a innings limit before he even got hurt and guess what? He got hurt anyways.

1. Um... because my doctor told me to trip
2. The Mets are in this position because the Nationals are handing it to them. I could see if the Mets had the best record in baseball, had a stacked lineup and were a lock to come out of the NL. But they're not.
3. All the more reason to shut it down. What if he pitches deep into the post season and it catches up with him next season? Why risk it?

6 man rotation is worse. than just shutting him down. As far as Strasburg.. I didn't bring him up for a reason. I don't like comparing players because everyone is different and everyone responds differently. This situation is different. His doctor prescribed 180 innings. That's reasonable.
