Which stats are inflated compared to Bledsoe's?

Bledsoe was a pretty good QB, there's just nothing he did better than Ryan.

I give him credit for taking over a bad team but Ryan did too.
when bledsoe went to the SB, 7 QB's threw 20+ TD's. now, its 20 qb's. andy dalton threw 27 TD's last season.

his weak arm has been bailed out by having a stacked squad, plus he plays a minimum of 10 games a year in a dome. he's not that good.

Dont think his arm is weak at all. I cant hold the dome thing against him that's out of his control. Ryan was a big time prospect...he didnt just come out of nowhere...sure it helps he's got a good team surrounding him on offense...but the Falcons are making sure their investment has guys who can make plays for him. Tony G's gone after this year, Jackson is a rental and White could be a cap casualty next year. Theyre building around Ryan and Jones on offense.

The Falcons went 13-3 last year. What exactly is this problem?

He led the league in completion %. If you have a QB that you can't afford to lose you lock him up long term. I'd rather take the risk of overpaying the proven QB than running the risk of finding an equal in he draft. There are organizations in this league that have never had a QB a good as Ryan. You're talking to someone who would know.
what problem ?

13-3 teams do not cut/let go of good players if they cant give them the $ they want ?

a qb is just a player on a team
most orgs that never had 'a good qb' never had the environment to raise one. good qbs dont grow no trees. its not about 'picking' the right one and being lazy about the rest of the team.
they are nurtured. pats draft brady and hes all time great. lions draft brady and hes out of the league at this point

oh and the completion % by itself doesnt mean much, alex smith led the league in it before he got hurt :heh:

What arent you getting then? The Falcons have recognized they have a guy they can build their team around. Good QB's have a long shelf life- they keep your team afloat while guys leave for more money, injuries throughout the season to key guys....the constant is the QB. You want to keep the QB's salary low while paying other positions- is that your stance? Plug in a QB while trying to build other positions?

I ask you this then- if Kaep wants 6 years 130 mill you let him walk?

also, I dont think ryan isnt a very good qb.
he is.
I dont think he or qbs should be paid less than other positions
but certainly not several orders of magnitude higher

he should be getting navorro bowman type money. shyt, navorro bowman is a better LB in terms of beast LBs in the league than ryan is a qb

How the fukk can you not differentiate the value of a linebacker in a passing driven league vs a player who touches the ball every snap? Are you trolling? Honestly?

Youre more and more starting to sound like the old guy screaming out "BUT HE HAD 100 RBI's LAST YEAR!"

youre going to hate your GM then

Ill have to remind you that
1) nothing has happened yet and I love my GM so far.
2) the Niners were "a c*nts hair away" from a superbowl, as well as had a 13-3 record with alex smith as a qb
this team is functional without a 25 million dollar qb.
3) Niners have already passed on a 20 million dollar qb in peyton and look how that turned out :heh:

And Smith was benched for a better player because Harbaugh recognized the need for a downfield passing game.

nope, that would be you with your qb arm and big play dikkrinding
you are the one screaming about ryan having the best completion % in the league
when guys like alex smith and chad pennington, whom you consider garbage, have led the league in % before

you have double standards for big armed qbs and your arguments are full of holes and switching the subject

all because your ass cannot look beyond simple concepts

Wow. Now you can't recognize that a high completion % COMBINED with a high YPA isn't impressive as hell? Along with a low int total?

I suppose RG3 leading the league in YPC as a rookie had absolutely nothing to do with have a great arm.

because
it looks like youre too dense to understand the point I was making, so let me spell it out for you

no player is worth a 5th of their cap. not joe montana, no jerry rice, not barry sanders
especially when the team was capable of competing with a far worse qb
yeah, thats right, Id let go of joe montana or jerry rice if theyd wanted 25 milly.
because no player is irreplacable in a team game like football.

idiots can bask in illusion of competiveness with a big arm qb. but even back when they werent paid 20+ milly that didnt result in more rings
it certainly wont be happening now with the rest of the team getting crumbs for salary
