I forgot every damn qb ni the league is a superstar to you :snoop:

you dont understand the concept of supply and demand. ANd clearly I dont, considering I just said there'd be 20 teams lined up to pay Ryan.

And I checked- Id say there are a solid 13 teams who'd put in a bid on Ryan.

Matt Ryan reminds me of Drew Bledsoe...except not as talented. Considering Drew Bledsoe is probably one of the greatest QBs that has played in the league (Top 20 at least), its not a knock, but his career might end up the same way.I don't think he has it in him to lead a team to the promised land.

EDIT: Top 20 is probably pushing it...i surrender that much.

no. dude was good, not great

Ok, so let's ignore my Top 20 ranking....I am inclined to say my Top 20 is pushing it. But if anything my comparison to Matt Ryan is spot on then. They feel almost like the same QB.

Ryan led the league in completeion % last season. Bledsoe threw for over 20 TD's twice in his career.

1) concept of supply demand doesnt have anything to do with being a superstar

2) just because there is a demand doesnt mean its a *rightful* demand. if you hoard all beer in the city and charge 50 bucks a bottle there will be supply and demand. or you can go outside the box and order a box of beer from another city online. just because teams are qb-obsessed doesnt make it ok for qbs to be paid a 5th of total cap. shyt, some teams couldnt afford ryan even if they wanted him right now.

By my count he did it 5 times. But ya Matt had a pretty good season, but he couldnt seal the deal yet again. Very reminiscent of Bledsoe and his terrible post-seasons.

well, the falcons were only a couple of quarters away from making it to the super bowl so i can see why they would pay matt the money they did....i hope this doesn't bump up kaepernick's contract since he's obviously better than matt and flacco.

ATL…overly
the reality of football is this wasnt reality 5 years ago.
qbs were never paid like a 5th of the total salary cap
qbs the qb position got inflated for no reason

its disgusting

whats even the point of becoming a RB in the NFL these days ? unless youre AD or something youre getting hurt and getting paid like youre second fiddle. alex smith was getting paid more than frank gore. awful

Well we've had a new CBA since then & the passing game has become more important in today's game. QBs are more important in today's game then ever...comparing the value of a RB not named Adrian Peterson to a Pro Bowl QB in todays NFL is laughable
