It’s very clear that Zohran is trying to not have any DSA candidates faceplant while he tries to push his agenda. I think he’s really thinking that if there’s any distractions plus if he fails, then Dem Socialists across the country in cities will be even more savaged.

I'm not disagreeing with your overall premise, but GOP will call Democrats communists regardless. They called Bill Clinton a communist. If we nominated Jaime Dimon, they would call him a communists too. Doesn't matter who the "Dem Leader" is, they will get called a communist.
