you can't exactly knock floyd for feeling this way because he is a prizefighter himself. he's been in there hundreds of times, and knows what it takes. besides, you don't get to his level without that feeling of confidence and indestructibility.
you can debate all day and night who's better. his example of ali beating foreman is valid, but that's not the only way ali fought. he dominated many a fights from start to finish, and his style/quickness was unmatched. i disagree with his point about ali only fighting in one weight class tho. how many heavyweights move up to the division and dominate? he's pretty much discounting all heavyweights from being the best ever because they didn't gradually move up on the scale. that's kinda silly to me.

I think he means the best boxer in the world has always been considered to be a heavyweight, kinda like the fastest man in the world is always judged by the 100m race and not 200/400 or some long distance run
