He's a ok fighter, but greatly overrated, he had a long list of B class fighters and cans on his resume, only beat Leonard the once and got sparked in every other big match up he had, he's the equavialent of this this generations Ricardo Mayorga dismantling the top fighter in Forrest, only to constatly be embarrassed by the other elites:russ:

Really though, overrated, b?

Duran is one of the best brawlers of all time in his weight class, maybe even pound for pound. I think Mayweather would win but it would be a split decision. Roberto Duran was a beast.

Late 70's-80's was the prime for lightweight and middleweight boxing.

Duran would have gotten frustrated by Mayweather's style. It would be "No Mas" part II.

Mayweather is an excellent fighter but Duran is no tomato can. Put it like this a lot of 'stylish' fighters got sent to the mat by Duran's ferocious punching power, even as a lightweight, he was duffing dudes with middleweight power punches.

I grew up watching Roberto. Saying May would frustrate him does not equate me saying he's a tomato can.

Like I said earlier, Floyd's style was handed down to him by people who came out of that era, similar to Tyson being crafted to fight a Larry Holmes (that he finally met when he was :flabbynsick: ). Floyd IMO would frustrate the shyt out of Duran.

I understand what you are saying, I came up in the same era, even though I call Duran a brawler in terms of boxing style, the guys had a high technical skill level. The one knock I would put against Duran is that I def think Mayweather is more disciplined as a fighter. Duran got there in his later years, but Mayweather always had that. But I think Durans tendency toward infighting would match Mayweathers defense and countering. But I like I said before definitely up in the air and if Duran wins, it's through the scorecards and only by a couple of points. I do wonder though is this dream scenario in their physical primes or like in the 2nd half of their careers.

:ohhh:

Because he's asked someone to come down to 120 before?? Nah didn't think so... why you got Manny name in your mouth (:skip:where Floyds dikk is) anyway brah..

It's funny how you speak on Floyd's so called behavior but get angry when Manny's catchweight actions are brought up.

Mid to late 30's B hop>>>Young B Hop

Honestly I wouldn't know who wins this but B. Hop has the style to give ANY middle from ANY era problems.
